City Camp

indya and brea We all get a different picture in our minds when we think of summer. You close your eyes and see sunshine, swimming pools, beaches, and baseball. You inhale the scent of sunscreen and freshly cut grass. The wind whipping though your hair as you race down the street on your bicycle. This is the ideal, what we remember. But often the reality is sitting at home; waiting for your mom to get back and watching reruns of old cartoons. The knowledge that was so carefully sorted in your mind from the past year in school slowly drifting away as the days go by. What if there was a different option? City Camp was created to give the kids in our community a different sort of summer. Our vision is to cultivate learning and relationships in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Every week has a new theme, from “The Wild West Week” to “Disney Week”. Every day brings educational opportunities to keep our student’s brains sharp. Instead of training for a test, we culture creativity and a love of learning through fun activities, field trips and hands-on learning. Throw in swimming twice a week, devotions every day, and fun field trips; and you have a recipe for one fun summer. BreaOur staff to student ratio is higher than other programs, allowing deep and meaningful conversations to take place; as well as strong relationships to form. We try to show God’s love and the awesome truth that is the gospel in every activity, every day. This includes disciplining in a loving and structured way. Our greatest goal is to help kids understand that there is a Creator that loves them more than anything else — enough to send His only Son to die for them, but not stay dead!

Running 8 weeks from 7:30am – 4:00pm, City Camp gives low income children the chance to turn their summer into something spectacular!
