It’s something many of us take for granted. But for those we serve, a fresh pair of undergarments can bring not just comfort, but a sense of dignity, confidence, and care.

As the temperatures rise, so does the risk for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. At City Union Mission, we’re preparing to offer critical relief during the hot summer months—and we need your help.
We’re stocking up on:
- Lightweight clothing (T-shirts, shorts, hats)
- Unopened underwear (all adult sizes)
- Sunscreen, deodorant & hygiene kits
- Bottled water & refillable water bottles
Every item shared is a message of care, dignity, and hope.

Just over a year ago, Jenna Garvin joined City Union Mission as a Career Specialist where she brought her passion for coaching and empowering others into the heart of our Christian Life Program.
During her time in this role, she walked alongside men in our long-term recovery program by helping them to prepare to re-enter the workforce with confidence, dignity and renewed purpose.
We`re thrilled to celebrate Jenna`s new role as Vocational Development Supervisor, where she now leads the entire Vocational Development team.

🇺🇸 On June 14th, we celebrated Flag Day and the U.S. Army`s 250th birthday at our L. Minor care center with hearts full of gratitude.
We transformed our front garden into a peaceful sanctuary for rest and reflection.
We`re deeply honored to serve the veterans in our community, with veterans both on our staff and among our guests. Our healing-centered approach goes beyond traditional care—every interaction affirms dignity, builds connection, and nurtures hope.

After nearly 30 years of addiction, Josh found freedom—not through willpower alone, but through the grace of God and the compassionate care he received at City Union Mission.
