This season can be the hardest for Kansas City’s homeless. Kevin knows this struggle firsthand. After losing his brother, his job, his vehicle, and even his ID, he found himself living on the streets.

But with the support of City Union Mission, Baser Baptist Church, and a caring probation officer, Kevin entered the Christian Life Program, and today, he walks in freedom and purpose.

❄️ Preparing for the Colder Months Ahead

This December, our Men’s Emergency Center will increase its capacity to over 100 beds to serve more men experiencing homelessness during the coldest months of the year.

While this is a big achievement, our hearts and vision tell us there’s more we can do. To increase capacity further, we need to purchase bed railings, a simple addition that provides a safe place for more men to sleep.
