Many things in our world are different this year; but one thing remains the same — Christmas!  Our Mission Christmas program helps thousands of income-qualified families and individuals enjoy the holidays. Family members can “shop” at our Christmas Store for gifts for their husbands, wives and children. 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, our capacity for volunteers is limited.  Therefore, ‘Christmas Store Assistant’ is the only volunteer opportunity we can offer.   Please note— We will not have need for volunteers to wrap gifts, nor volunteers to deliver gifts (on Christmas Eve).  However, we have several other ways for our community partners to donate online.

As in years past, we will still have the option to put out barrels for drives, collect donations and meal bags.  You can also donate online or shop our Amazon Wish List for gifts to be sent directly to City Union Mission for safe, contactless donation. Help make the Christmas celebration special for our Kansas City families in need by choosing from the options below.  Please donate early to ensure our shelves are stocked and ready for the first excited shoppers when our Christmas Store opens on November 15th.

Drives: You can also host a drive with your neighborhood, church or place of work to collect for meal bags, items on the wish list, or both! We ask that you please contact us at to let us know you will be participating and to get your drive set-up.
