Facilities Internship

City Union Mission’s Facilities Internship is a nine to twelve weeks during the Spring (Jan –May), Summer (May – August); or Fall (August – December) semester with a minimum of 26 hours per week; Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:00PM. The goal of this internship is to help students further cultivate their skills through experience at a nationally known non-profit. The Maintenance intern must have a positive attitude and eagerness to learn about caring for Facilities and managing projects. Knowledge of the non-profit sector helpful; volunteer experience preferred. You will experience working with City Union Mission’s maintenance team. City Union Mission is a non-profit ministry operating on a $10.5 million budget reaching out to those who are poor or homeless in Kansas City, MO. You will also learn the value of long range planning and about the day to day ministry. This life changing experience will lead to: personal growth in understanding urban poverty, a deep sense of Christian community, and expanded skills.  Each intern is challenged to step out of the personal comfort zone and into a world of serving Christ in both exciting and sacrificial ways. Qualifications: ● Ability to work well with others as a team player ● Abide by established guidelines ● Strong attention to detail ● Previous maintenance experience a plus. ● Excellent customer service skills ● Proficiency in Gmail and Internet research a plus   apply-now
