From Homelessness to Hope
For years, Anthony Mills struggled in the cycle of homelessness and addiction on the streets of Kansas City, Missouri. He often returned to City Union Mission, a trusted Kansas City Missouri homeless shelter, searching for hope. That hope came when he entered the Mission’s Christian Life Program, where faith, discipleship, and accountability became the foundation for lasting addiction recovery. Anthony discovered that even setbacks could become stepping stones toward a new life in Christ.
Today, Anthony leads by example as the Team Leader at the Mission’s L. Minor Care Center, a vital shelter for men seeking stability and transformation. His story shows that no matter how broken the past, God can redeem the future. Watch the video below to see Anthony’s inspiring journey from homelessness to hope, and how City Union Mission continues to bring life-changing addiction recovery to Kansas City.
