A set of keys can change a lot.
Last week, three City Union Mission program participants received reliable used vehicles through our Car Ministry after completing long-term recovery programming and taking meaningful steps toward work and independence.
For them, a car means getting to work, making appointments, getting to church, buying groceries, and having more freedom in everyday life.
One participant shared, “I’m forever thankful, and I feel blessed.”

A certification can open a door. 👏
Over the past year, 19 City Union Mission participants have completed forklift training and earned their certification through training at our warehouse. Two others received assistance in earning their OSHA 10 certification.
These are practical skills that can lead to employment, greater stability, and new opportunities.
We’re grateful for team members like Mike who invest their time and knowledge into helping participants prepare for what comes next.
