Your Used Vehicle Can Offer Someone The Gift Of New Life!

City Union Mission’s Car Ministry provides cars to our program graduates. Qualified candidates will receive a car and assistance maintaining that car for a year.

Car donations made by individuals and businesses provide the majority of the vehicles distributed by the Car Ministry Program. In addition, the Mission also purchases cars with designated financial donations.

Please consider donating a used car in good working condition or funds to purchase cars for the Car Ministry Program. Each car donated is an opportunity to give someone dignity and independence on their road to a better life.

For A Vehicle To Be Eligible For Donation:

1. The car must be in good working condition.
2. It must have a clear title and a lien release (when necessary).
3. All the owners’ names on the title must be signed on the reverse of the title authorizing transfer of ownership at the time of donation.

You will receive a bill of sale and the form you need for tax filing purposes. If the vehicle is located in the Kansas City metropolitan area, we can even pick it up and complete the paperwork on the spot.

To make a donation or to learn more about the Mission’s Car Ministry, contact us at (816) 841-6171.

Most graduates don’t have the financial ability to purchase their own vehicle. This is an easy way you can help set them up for success once they leave the Mission.

Thank you for your generosity!

Jason is a Christian Life Program graduate who was able to buy a car at a discounted price from the Mission’s Car Ministry Program.

Currently, Jason is attending our Student Leadership Institute, where students are prepared and trained for a career in rescue mission ministry. Jason tells us that he is thankful to the Mission for all the opportunities he’s been given and excited to get to “cruise the streets” in his new ride!

Natasha received her car through a generous scholarship that allowed her to pursue her educational goals with the Sewing Lab while working part-time.

She was given this car, along with the resources to maintain it, and she could not be more grateful. She plans to use her new car to drive between work and school, and to get herself to church functions as well. Natasha has worked hard over the past year – graduating from our New Life Program and continuing in our advanced program so that she can be totally independent by the time she moves out of the shelter. Natasha LOVES to tell others about her new life in Christ!
