This year the residential camping program consists of four one-week sessions. Each Monday (July 5, 12, 26 and August 2) boys and girls will load buses headed for fun, education and adventure.  This first week is for pre-teens, ages 10-12.

WHO:             Boys and girls ages 7 to 16 who are homeless or disadvantaged and who face the challenges of our urban core.

WHEN:          Monday, July 5, 2021

WHERE:       City Union Mission Family Shelter, 1310 Wabash, Kansas City, Missouri

TIME:            Registration: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Campers load buses: 9:30 a.m.

The media are invited to attend for photo opportunities.

WHY:             The Mission’s Camp CUMCITO gives children from some of Kansas City’s most disadvantaged families an opportunity to attend a Christ-centered camp.  The week provides opportunities to enjoy wholesome fun, build self-esteem, discover their potential and learn lessons that can break the cycle of poverty.
