Men's Shelter Counselor

This person will provide effective and personalized Christ-centered counseling for individual and groups of clients in all programs of the Men’s Shelter. Positively contributing as a ministry team member by effectively teaching psycho-education classes, creating and maintaining treatment plans, and working in collaboration with the ministry team as an advocate for client health and thriving.

Qualifications:

  • Able to lead others in spiritual maturity and demonstrate the attributes of a Christian role model with clients, staff, and the community at large.
  • Required: Successfully completed the qualifications of a Master’s in a behavioral health field from an accredited school.
  • Required: Licensed or working toward licensure in the state of Missouri: LPC, LMFT, LCSW.

This person will be responsible for the overall fundraising strategy of City Union Mission. This position assists the Family Center Facilities Administrator with scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and performing all necessary maintenance work done at the Family Center, New Life Center, 8th St Warehouse, and MTLP building facilities and grounds, as well as other Mission owned/operated locations, as assigned.

Mission Transitional Living Resident Manager PT

The Transitional Living Program (TLP) provides housing for up to 12 graduates of our programs so they can remain under the Mission’s guidance for an additional 18 months while they work and grow in responsibility and accountability. Share an apartment with another resident manager on site and be provided meals with guests and staff. Maintain a safe and secure facility which houses the New Life Program. Provide compassionate orderliness throughout the New Life Center, particularly overnight.
