Vehicles

Would you like to see your drivable car or truck benefit City Union Mission?

Your vehicle may be generously donated for graduates or Mission usage. As they complete the long-term recovery program, our graduates often need their own vehicle so they can apply and interview for jobs.Vehicles also may be used by Mission staff for tasks such as maintenance, development or general Mission usage.

For a vehicle to be eligible for donation:

• It must be drivable (Due to new regulations we cannot currently accept donations of vehicles that are not in drive-able condition.)

• Have clear title and a lien release (when necessary)

• All the owners’ names on the title must be signed (at the time of donation) on the reverse of the title authorizing transfer of ownership.

You will receive a bill of sale and the form you need for tax filing purposes.

If the vehicle is located in the Kansas City metropolitan area, we can even pick it up and complete the paperwork on the spot.

If you have questions or would like to donate a vehicle, or if you know a dealer with a heart for the homeless, please call Lonnie at (816) 222-5062.
